Privacy Policy

This policy covers the apps published under the BalanGo brand by Oz for General Trading (“we”): BalanGo Social and BalanGo Speed Meter. Each app handles information differently, so each has its own section below.

BalanGo Social BalanGo Speed Meter

BalanGo Social (“the app”) is a dashboard used by social-media managers to organise clients and their brands and to publish videos to the social platforms those brands have connected. This section explains what we store and why.

Information we store

• Account & client records you enter — client and company names, contact details, notes, website and email records.
• Connection tokens — when you connect a YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account, we store the access/refresh token that platform issues so we can publish on that account’s behalf. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest.
• Videos you upload — a video is sent through our server only to hand it to the platform(s) you selected. We do not build a permanent media library from it.
• An activity log of publish attempts (which account, when, success or the error returned) so you can see what was posted.

How we use it

Solely to provide the app to you: to display your records and to publish the content you choose to the accounts you connected. We do not sell your data or the data of any connected account, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party platforms

When you connect an account, the app interacts with that platform’s API on your behalf — Google/YouTube, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) and TikTok. Your use of those connections is also governed by each platform’s terms and privacy policy, including TikTok’s Privacy Policy. Data obtained from TikTok is used only to publish the content you request and is not shared with any other party.

Retention & deletion

Disconnecting an account deletes its stored token from our database. You can request deletion of any record, or of all your data, at any time using the contact below.

Security

The app is access-controlled behind a login, served over HTTPS, and connection tokens are encrypted at rest.

BalanGo Speed Meter is a Windows app that shows your live download and upload speed. It works entirely on your PC.

What we collect

Nothing. BalanGo Speed Meter has no account and makes no network connections of its own. The app itself sends no data to us or anyone else — no analytics, usage statistics or crash reports.

What the app uses on your PC

• Network adapter information — the names and byte counters of your network adapters, read from Windows to calculate speed. These stay on your PC.
• Your settings — the options you choose are saved in a settings file on your PC, under %LOCALAPPDATA%\BalangoSpeedMeter.
• Startup — if you turn on “Start when I sign in to Windows”, Windows records a startup entry for your user account. Turning the option off removes it.

Microsoft Store

If you get the app from Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles the download, installation and updates under its own privacy statement. Microsoft gives app publishers aggregate reports, such as install numbers and app health statistics that Windows collects; these do not identify you to us.

Removing your data

Uninstalling removes the app. Its settings file may remain; delete the BalangoSpeedMeter folder in %LOCALAPPDATA% to remove it.
